25 Days of Christmas//Dips

December 16, 2012

Certain things always remind me of the holidays. Food seems to be the big kicker though, there is no denying how much I love food. Certain smells just make me feel like I am a kid again. When I was growing up we had a big Christmas party every Christmas Eve. It was all of my family and my Mom's best friend Grace's family. Nearly every one of my favorite holiday memories comes from that party. Mrs. Grace always made meatballs, and a ton of other stuff. Food was never scarce when our families were together; and my mom made her Christmas Dip. For quite some time it has been the Cater Christmas Dip, we only made it for Christmas and the New Year's Eve Party. While the dip tastes nothing of Christmas flavors, it tastes like Christmas to me, because that is the only time I got to eat it. Who knows where the recipe came from, and who cares. It tastes good.

Cheddar, Bacon, and Ranch Dip
Ingredients:
16 oz Sour Cream
1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch Dry Mix
3/4 of a 2.5 bag of Real Bacon Pieces
1 1/2 cups shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and chill. Serve with your favorite chips.

**I never really measure the cheese and bacon bits, I just add them in until I'm content.
