Meal Pinning Monday

December 31, 2017

It's the last day of 2017 and here I am doing my usual... meal planning.

Yesterday Jeremy got me a late Christmas present, the Pioneer Woman Dinnertime cookbook. Yes, I'm a day late on that one, but I also don't have the Come and Get it book either.

Somehow I missed that boat last Christmas, usually I don't.

Anyway, point being. I'm thinking of having some fun for the next four weeks, after this one, and cooking all PW recipes from her Dinnertime cookbook. Basically every day will be a different section of the cookbook.

I'll try to make it as low carb as possible and will share how I'm doing that as I go along.

Five on Friday

December 29, 2017

We are all finally back home from traveling and I have to say I think everyone was ready to sleep in their own beds. Everyone slept a solid 12 hours, even the dog!

Here's what we've been up to...

I finally broke into my bag of Siete Tortilla Chips that I got at the Lafayette Moms Blog Christmas dinner. Holy amazingness Paleo people!

I'm sold.

Merry Christmas

December 27, 2017

Merry Christmas from the three of us!

I made life a little simpler again this year by not sending out cards, maybe I'll get to it next year.

As you can probably tell, there's been a touch of a blog break this week. I'll be back at in Friday though!

Friday Five

December 22, 2017

Could it be y'all? The first day of Christmas break?

I feel like I've been waiting on this moment since August.

Not really... but really.

This week's favorites might exceed 5 and turn more into 500, but I'll spare you by not listing every single swag bag item I got at the Lafayette Moms Blog Christmas Party in one post.

If I've said it once, I've said it every day this year. The toddler stage is my favorite. I love all the imaginary play.

This past Sunday his teacher gave him a small Duplo set, the child played in silence for 30 minutes.

I'll be collecting and adding those to the travel toy bag.

Last but not least, and definitely not photographed... thank you early blogging days.
I'll take a photo this year, promise.

Meal Pinning Monday

December 19, 2017

We made it to the week before Christmas, how can it be the end of the year?!?

If I'm being honest I kind of want the 31st to get here simply so I can start toting around my new planner.

Friday Five

December 15, 2017

This week's theme, high quality images.

Just kidding. There are zero high quality images this week.

1. Have I professed my undying love for La Croix lately? I haven't? Okay, I love it.

This peach-pear flavor, awesome. This little drink is how I curb my sweet tooth after lunch at work and escape the Candy Cane filled with Hershey Kisses on my desk.

Meal Pinning Monday

Another week. Another meal plan.

What's everyone cooking this week?

[What is Meal Pinning Monday?]
MPM is how I meal plan for our little family. I once spent a lot of time searching the web and my recipe books hunting for new recipes and ideas for what to cook every week. Then, Pinterest came along and made meal planning much easier for me. Every weekend I look over what I have pinned the prior week and decide what I would like to cook and make my grocery list from these recipes. MPM came about as a way to share what I am cooking, and to also see what others are cooking every week to hopefully get even more dinner ideas from other bloggers. If you don't pin your recipes feel free to just share what you are cooking.

Friday Five

December 8, 2017

Y'all this week is officially ending in BEST WEEK EVER. Or at least the best Friday in the past decade.

I jokingly shared a photo of Jeremy 8 years ago at our home in Monroe when it snowed, back in his shaggy hair days. It snowed today.

Or considering how far south we live now... it SNEAUXED!

5 Holiday Breakfast Ideas

December 6, 2017

There are a few recipes around here that get pinned half to deal around the holiday. Or at least as soon as Starbucks busts out the pumpkin flavored everything.

So today I'm sharing my top holiday breakfast recipes from the blog. Some obvious, some not so obvious. But all of them are loved by our family!

It's the between holidays weeks, who all is eating healthy? I've recruited Jeremy to Keto... we shall see how long he lasts before he dies. Or just flat needs a carb in his life.
