31 Days of Slightly Crunchy

October 1, 2015

It's October and that can only mean one thing, another 31 Days of committing to write everyday.

Why Slightly Crunchy for this years topic? Why not more food like my every loving favorite year of 31 Days of Frugal Meals?

Let me explain.

This is a label I was basically given by my husband and sister due to my deep down desire to ditch city (granted we live in a large-ish town) living and run to the country, gather every chicken I can find (even though I'm terrified of the suckers), and start growing all my own food.

At least that's how I explain it to myself in my head. They might explain their reasoning for labeling me with off shoot versions of granola differently.

It probably started that time I tried to make everyone drink Kombucha.

I'm saying slightly crunchy because let's face it, we own plastic, I don't cloth diaper, and ain't no body got time for getting rid of cars in this house.

I'm not your run of the mill super freak hippie.

I wear closed toe shoes sometimes.

I just like to live a holistic lifestyle, and it was something I was doing before I really got a name for it. I eat whole foods and try to not douse our lives in every chemical available on the store shelf.

I don't buy a lot of packaged food, I eat very little grains, and I like cleaning with vinegar way more than my husband likes me cleaning with it.

I've talked about health and wellness off and on over the past 7 years in this little spot, but this month I'm going to go in depth with how I live outside of just our meal planning and whatever workout I'm doing at the moment.

For the next month you'll get topics ranging from why I make my own laundry detergent to breastfeeding tips & tricks. We'll even talk about food, the crunchy things my husband isn't buying into (and he will lie and say he isn't sick to keep my away from him with my crunchy things), and my favorite slightly crunchy products.

So stop by every day and see what on earth I'm up to, grab a cup of coffee and laugh at the nonsense I subject my husband to in the name of "holistic" anything, and hop into the comments and chat with me about what you think and tell me what you'd do different.

And if you found little ole LA Bride through the 31 Days link-up, welcome! I'm so insanely glad y'all are here!
