[What is Meal Pinning Monday?]
MPM is how I meal plan for our little family. I once spent a lot of time searching the web and my recipe books hunting for new recipes and ideas for what to cook every week. Then, Pinterest came along and made meal planning much easier for me. Every weekend I look over what I have pinned the prior week and decide what I would like to cook and make my grocery list from these recipes. MPM came about as a way to share what I am cooking, and to also see what others are cooking every week to hopefully get even more dinner ideas from other bloggers. If you don't pin your recipes feel free to just share what you are cooking.
Guess what! The husband is out of school for a few weeks so I actually get access for the computer on week nights, whoo hoo. In honor of that let's kick back with some Meal Pinning Monday. Here is this weeks meal plan:
Wheat & Berry Puffed Pancake with Bacon
Spicy Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese
Dijon Penne with Chives - I am adding grilled chicken
BBQ Chicken Pizza with a Whole Wheat Crust
Saturday - Crawfish Boil at the church. Yay for no cooking.
I am sub-ing out a few ingredients here. I have my own pizza crust recipe that I use, and I only use whole wheat flour. I am also using a combo of Sweet Baby Ray's and Rendezvous BBQ sauce for it. The grilled cheese is on whole wheat bread and I also added some crushed fire roasted tomatoes, I like texture. I haven't decided yet though if I want to put the chicken in the pasta or serve it with it, I have to add it though of there will be an uprising from the lack of meat. I've been accused of serving rabbit food on various occasions.
