6 Months

September 1, 2015

We've got a 6 month old y'all!

I thought the 4 month pics were my favorite, 6 month might be running a tight game.

The eyes and up on this kid, all Daddy. Nose and down, all Mama.

Weight: 17.2 lbs according to our scale at home, and it's been spot on with every doctors appointment.

Length/Height: Who knows, you haven't been to the doctor yet.

Eyes: more hazel, they go between blue to green/brown depending on what he's wearing

Hair: Brown like Mama's!

Clothes: 9 months

Diapers: Size 3 all around, day and night

Likes: People, he loves being passed around at church. We've gone out to eat the past two Friday's and I think he's convinced everyone there is wanting to talk to him because he just babbles the entire time! Bath time is still high up on the favorites list, the baby loves water. With Jeremy taking him to the sitter every day and picking him up he has decided that Daddy is the best thing ever, great for Mama since the first 2 months were so Mama focused.

Dislikes: Harrison hates having his nose sucked out, other than that he seems to like everything at the moment.

Eating: We started Baby Led Weaning and he is loving it. So far he's had apple, celery, cucumber, every potato type under the sun, avocado, banana, broccoli, carrots, and rutabaga. There are a few more I'm forgetting. He likes the aspect of feeding himself and actually does well with the large chunks. I tried giving him some Puffs at a restaurant Friday and he hated them, then Jeremy gave him a piece of tortilla and he was in love. I really think that it's the lack of control over the Puffs because once it got stuck to his tongue he was going to gag until I fished it out. I also tried a Mum Mum and he wasn't a fan. But the child is obsessed with Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese, he goes to town on a slice of that. So maybe the dislike for the processed food we tried is due to the lack of flavor.

Sleeping: Sleeping all night! Finally. Jeremy goes in maybe once to put the paci back, but he can stretch it to 6am for the next feed. Although sometimes I just go ahead and go in if he wakes after 5:20ish.

Milestones: He is rolling from back to front, but only when it's convenient for him. Like at night! During the day he doesn't do it much. He can sit up assisted with the Boppy well and for a tiny bit without it.

If I had to describe our fifth month in one word, it would be: Happy, the evening was when he was melting down for the most part but he is a peach in the evenings here lately.

Mommy notes:
I think Harrison is on the verge of breaking a tooth. I can feel the difference in his lower gums, but nothing is showing just yet.

The next picture is what Jeremy loves doing!

He's rubbing his beard on Harrison's back by the way.

I have to say I sympathize with the baby on this one, the whiskers are ticklish. As soon as Jeremy starts messing with him he pulls those legs up and scrunches his neck.

I seem to recall my own father tormenting me in the same way.

Although I can't say much about Dad and his nicknames. I was called Tyrone for years... and I keep catching myself calling Harrison, Freddy. As in "Ready Freddy," but I just shorten it and call him Freddy.
